Danville lies on the edge of the Eastern Townships on the border of the Bois-Francs region. Thanks to the railroad, the town was built here in the middle of the 19th century, as were the magnificent Victorian homes that line its streets. Several well-known historical figures were born here, including Daniel Johnson. It is the rich history and important heritage ressources of the town and the flora and fauna of its very large pond that attracts visitors year after year.
