The chemin des anciens, known in Innu as "tshiah meshkanau," which connects Nutashkuan and Natashquan, is located between Route 138 and the banks of the St. Lawrence River.

The Festival des Macacains is a community gathering event that takes place every year in the charming little village of Natashquan. It showcases local talent! On the program: music, games for all, various competitions, sports activities, and more.
Les Galets, this "village within a village," a cultural property classified by the Government of Quebec, refers to both the stone island and the fishermen's sheds. For 150 years, they have endured and bear witness to the lives of ancestors. It is a place of memory, remembrance, and nostalgia for the time when cod fishing was a trade and a livelihood in Natashquan.

In 2006, the villagers donated more than 2,000 hours of volunteer work to restore it. Fortunately so! For today, the walls that witnessed the young Gilles Vigneault studying alongside the Landry, Bourgeois, Lapierre, Cormier, Carbonneau, and Hounsell families now house an exhibition on the work of Gilles Vigneault, the celebrated poet of Natashquan.
This trail is one of the municipality's most beautiful attractions. It winds through a series of landscapes: forests dotted with stunted conifers, rocky outcrops, tundra plains, and riverbanks. The path follows the course of the Petite rivière Natashquan and its lovely waterfalls. Spruce trees, larches, lichen, mosses, and Labrador tea will be your companions along the way.
