Manitou Falls

The Manitou River travels from north to south a distance of 150 km with an elevation drop of 640 m. It flows into the Gulf of St. Lawrence 35 km west of the village of Rivière-au-Tonnerre and 85 km east of the city of Sept-Îles. Just before its mouth, the river cascades over three significant waterfalls, the last of which, known as la Grosse Chute, stands 35 metres high.
