A Village-relais is a municipality of less than 10,000 inhabitants recognized by the ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD), which offers, with the help of its merchants, a variety of services and a safe and pleasant stop.
In addition to basic services, a Village-relais offers travelers touristic, cultural and natural attractions, quality amenities and their own unique heritage, giving visitors the option to extend their stay.
The Villages-relais are located throughout Quebec along national highways or tourist routes. A warm welcome awaits you!
The Village-relais concept was developed to reduce the effects of driver fatigue and thus improve safety on the roads.
To become a Village-relais
The label is awarded for a period of 5 years. Each municipality is re-evaluated for the renewal of its accreditation.
