The Centre de découverte Zoom Nature Desjardins is an interpretive center dedicated to the fauna and flora of Quebec, as well as the knowledge of natural environments. Its mission is above all educational : to encourage the protection and improvement of the environment.
Château Montebello
Built in 1930, the Chateau Montebello was once a private club. The building was transformed into a hotel after being bought by Canadian Pacific in 1970. To this date it is the largest circular log structure and it is the pride of Montebello’s citizens.
Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church
The stone used for the construction is extracted from the surrounding lands, while the stone of the decorative parts comes from a Sainte-Anne quarry. The interior has only been finished in 1902, when the Fabrique obtains a loan of 6000 $ to realize the project.

Metis Gardens
Located 10 km east of Mont-Joli, the Reford Gardens are a must on the holiday route. Built from 1926 to 1958 by the forward-thinking horticulturist Elsie Reford, these gardens are one of Canada’s national historic sites. Some 3000 species and plant varieties, including the famous Himalayan blue poppy, are spread out over 15 gardens.
