Church of St. Marcellin

This church, which dominates the center of the village, is of European-inspired Neo-Gothic style, recognizable by its pointed arch windows. It features a three-aisle nave with front and rear galleries.

Nordic Zec

On a territory dotted with numerous forest roads, the Nordic ZEC offers sports enthusiasts the ideal setting to practice their favorite activity, such as fishing, small and big game hunting, and wilderness camping.

The Bay Walk

This walkway runs through the heart of the village of Les Escoumins. It begins at one of four thematic stations informing visitors about the natural environment and history of the municipality. A footbridge over the Escoumins River follows, from which salmon can be spotted, leading to a lookout offering a view of the bay. The path then continues all the way to Pointe de la Croix.

On jazz sous la lune

These evenings are held at the outdoor agora of the Marine Environment Discovery Centre on the shores of the St. Lawrence River. A jazz concert is presented every summer full moon evening and concludes with the moonrise over the river as a backdrop for the musicians.

Environmental Fresco

An interesting mural depicting the transition from fresh water to salt water in the St. Lawrence Estuary, created by artist Claudet J. Savard. It can be admired on Route 138, in a tunnel sheltered from the elements.

Falls Park

The park offers several visitor facilities, such as picnic tables, benches and public restrooms. A playground is set up at the entrance of the park for the enjoyment of younger visitors. It is the ideal place to enjoy the fresh air in a magnificent setting.

Outfitter of Domaine du Shamrock

For over 75 years, the Domaine has been recognized as one of Quebec's most prestigious outfitters. Located 20 km north of the village, the outfitter encompasses more than 40 wild brook trout lakes. This territory is also exceptional for bear and moose hunting.

Essipit vacation

The Innu community of Essipit offers tourists a wide range of services and outdoor activities through its four outfitters north of Les Escoumins, whale-watching cruises, chalets and condos overlooking the St. Lawrence River, as well as its Le Tipi campsite located on the reserve.

Zec of the Escoumins River

The Escoumins River ZEC offers fishermen an enchanting setting where they can enjoy salmon fishing in 66 pools spread over 35 kilometers of river. The fishing season runs from June 1st to September 15th.

Manicouagan fishery

La Pêcherie Manicouagan draws on a long tradition of fishing and seafood processing from the North Shore. The company offers mouth-watering fish and seafood products sourced from fresh waters. A must-see!

The Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park

Numerous sites have been developed to observe the marine park from the shores.

From this small rocky ridge, the nighttime landscape is breathtaking! Visitors are left in awe before the panoramic view of the village reflected in the bay and along the coastline. The site features interpretation panels, picnic tables and a parking area.
