Whale watching cruises on top of the deep waters of the Saguenay’s marine park, twenty minutes from Tadoussac.
The church, located in the center of the village, is of gothic style, inspired by European churches of the 12th century. It has a three-ship nave, a rear stand and a front stand.

Environmental Fresco
An interesting mural depicting the passage of fresh water to salt water in the St. Lawrence Estuary, by the artist Claudet J. Savard. It can be admired on Route 138, in a tunnel sheltered from bad weather.
Helped by the wind or the tide, kayakers glide calmly along granite cliffs of magnificent shapes and colors, watching for whales, seals and a grand variety of birds.
The Pointe-à-la-Croix site
From this little rocky ridge, the night scenery is wonderful! A unique view of the village and of the coast, both reflected in the bay. The site includes interpretation panels, lunch tables and a parking area.

The park offers several reception facilities such as picnic tables, benches and public toilets. A playground is set up at the entrance of the park for the enjoyment of the youngest. It is the ideal place to enjoy the great outdoors in a superb landscape
For more than 75 years, the estate has been recognized as one of the most prestigious outfitters in Quebec. Located 20 km north of the village, it is composed of more than 40 wild brook trout lakes. This territory is also exceptional for bear and moose hunting.
The Essipit innus comunity offers tourists multiple services and outdoor activities through its four outfitters north of Escoumins. Whale cruises, cabins and condos overlooking the river are among the vast possibilities offered by the Essipit community.
Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing enthusiasts will appreciate the beauty of the landscape. The forest also offers snowmobile enthusiasts a vast territory to explore.
At the heart of the village, you can take a walk along the inner shore of the bay. It is the ideal place for a stop on the road.

The zec of the Escoumins River offers an enchanting site where you can go fish for salmon in 66 pits spread over 35 kilometers of river. The fishing period runs from June 1st to September 15th.
On a large and wild territory, the Nordic zec offers to outdoor enthusiasts the ideal site to practice their favorite sport, such as fishing, hunting small and big game and wild camping.
Manicouagan Fishery is based on a long tradition of fishing and seafood processing on the North Shore. The company offers mouthwatering freshwater fish and seafood products. A must try!

Whether you are interested in small invertebrates, large whales, the numerous currents or the lives of people who have lived intimately with this environment, you will be seduced by the magnificence of this unique park. Many sites have been developed to observe the marine park from the shores.
